Installation of a Solar Power Plant at UAB Taumona
To increase the share of renewable energy sources in final energy consumption.
201 300 Eur
119 777 Eur
Project funded by:
The European Regional Development Fund
October 2023
Due to the company’s expansion, growing production operations, and rising electricity prices, the increasing annual energy consumption has prompted Taumona to rethink energy use and savings. The company aims to use energy more efficiently by implementing environmentally and resource-friendly technologies. To achieve this, UAB Taumona plans to install a solar power plant that will generate electricity for its own internal needs and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources. It is expected that the solar plant will generate approximately 219 MWh of electricity per year.
The project will also help mitigate Lithuania’s impact on climate change, address air pollution and efficient resource use, and reduce dependence on energy imports.
TAUMONA Factory: Installation of a Modern Dust Extraction System
To capture and filter fine particles emitted by woodworking machines.
250 000 Eur
September 2020
TAUMONA has installed a modern wood dust filtration and extraction system used in the processing of wood products.
The purchased equipment is designed to capture and filter fine particles released from woodworking machinery.
It is estimated that the total amount of fine particles generated at the factory will be reduced up to 40 times.
Most importantly, the new air purification technology will significantly improve working conditions for employees, reduce pollution, and enhance product quality!
UAB Taumona Implements Another EU-Funded Project
To reduce the environmental impact of the company’s production processes by ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources and raw materials.

September 2019
Since September 2019, UAB Taumona has been successfully implementing another EU-funded project titled “Implementation of Technological Eco-Innovations at UAB Taumona.” The project is carried out under Lithuania’s 2014–2020 EU Structural Funds Investment Operational Programme, Priority 3: “Promoting the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises,” measure “Eco-Innovations LT+,” and is funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
The company’s main priorities—product quality, adoption of new technologies, and sales promotion—also ensure customer satisfaction and trust. In recent years, demand for furniture produced using ecological design principles has grown significantly. This demand is driven by public concern over environmental pollution, climate change, and harmful substances that are sometimes found in furniture. UAB Taumona is responding directly to this shift in public perception by implementing a project that introduces technological eco-innovations. These will enable the company to acquire modern equipment, reduce the use of raw materials and harmful substances in its manufacturing processes, and contribute to reduced environmental pollution and more efficient use of natural resources.
It is expected that the project will enable Taumona to offer a broader product range, strengthen its presence in existing and new markets, and contribute to solving environmental issues.
